What am I writing?

The book that you are backing is entitled The Moonlight Shadow: A Collection of Short Stories and Vignettes. This is a collection fantasy and general fiction short stories I have written over the years. Many of these stories were included in the original Collection of Works published in 2011, but all have been thoroughly proofread, formatted and revised, and many new and exciting stories have been added, along with stunning cover artwork and interior illustrations (planned).

Writing a book is no easy feat. To be candid, the vast majority of the work involved in getting a book out is the actual writing. That is the hard part.

Doing the book up "right"... That's the expensive part.

What do I mean by "right"?

Doing it up right means having beautiful, professional interior illustrations and cover art. It means seeing that the book meets industry standards for formatting and proofreading through the use of professional services. It means printing and distributing advertising materials. It means taking out advertisements. The whole publicity campaign.

What this money is going toward:

• Professional illustrations
• Editorial review
• Proofreading/Formatting services
• Advertising materials (Posters, bookmarks, etc)
• Book copies for publicity purposes
• Distribution services
• Backer rewards

It can all really add up. It's difficult being an independent author starting out, but I know that with your help we can make this book a hit.
