Dong Guan, China Move Update

As promised here is our weekly update. Coming at you short sweet and to the point. Last week we made all the preparations for moving Writer 1's current assembly from an OEM in Shanghai to another one in Dong Guan, China. This week we are sending Anderson and Joice, one of our mechanical engineers and our operations manager, to Dong Guan to help with that transition and to help them ramp up production as quickly as possible. CNCing our keyboards has been a challenge due to demand on the CNC machines from incoming production from Japan. We have moved our CNC stages to Taiwan to help produce more volume. There is much less demand on CNC machines in Taiwan, so we will be able to make more keyboards than was initially planned.

Writer 2 (for iPad 2) is also getting some love. This week we are releasing plastic tools for Writer 2. We have made some modifications to the designe to utilize a few of iPad 2's new features. We will keep those a secret a little bit longer as we get them finalized.
