We appreciated all your support with Writer and wanted to let you know we have just launched a new product on Kickstarter that we think you'll love.
Touch screens have simplified the way we use technology, but there has yet to be a way to capture the precision of a calligrapher or the stroke of an artist. Not only should it meet your needs, but a stylus should have style.
Introducing Jot, the stylus the world's been looking for.
Update #19: Weekly Update - June 14th
For those of you waiting on your Writer for iPad 2, here is an update. We just approved the final assembly of the units. There are still a few small tweaks being made to improve quality. Once those improvements are implemented we will begin production. We are aiming to ship your Writer for iPad 2's the first week of July. Stay tuned. As we get closer, I will give you a more firm date.

Great news Anxiously awaiting my superfan package!
As for all the people complaining about delivery. Please give us a break and try to understand how Kickstarter works. If you need something right away then Kickstarter is definetely not the right place to spend your money. It's a place to help inventors out and get exciting new products before everyone else. Hadn't looked at the comments for a while and couldn't believe how rude some people are being...

Update #18: Weekly Update - May 24th
I am pleased to announce that the Writers for iPad 1's were shipped to the remaining Kickstarter pledges this morning. You should have received a confirmation email with your tracking numbers. We are excited for you to get your Writers and look forward to any feedback you might have. We appreciate everyones patience and think you will be very happy with the final product.
Those of you who chose to receive a Writer for iPad 2, we also have some great news. All parts have been approved for production. The assembly line is being set up and parts will start cranking out any day now. Our goal is to have your Writers delivered in June. One other thing of note with Writer for iPad 2 is a new feature. Writer for iPad 2 magnetically closes and shuts off your iPad 2.

Hey guys. So I'm loving my Writer for the iPad. As it so happens, i just decided to buy an iPad2 and now after only using my Writer for a week or so am back to the onscreen keyboard. Is there any way I can purchase another one of these for my iPad2, or maybe exchange my Writer for a Writer v2? Let me know the best way to get a hold of a Writer for my iPad2.

Update #17: Weekly Update - May 17
The remaining Writer for iPad 1 kickstarter pledges is shipping from Taipei this Thursday, May 19. The importing process will take approximately 7-10 days and you should be receiving your Writers by mid to late next week, roughly May 25-27.
The Writer for iPad 2 is moving along smoothly. Zach is traveling to China to check final plastics on Thursday, May 19. Once those parts are approved we will begin production of Writer for iPad 2. Production will take 5-7 days and approximately 7 days for exporting Writer to the US. As soon as we have confirmed dates for delivery we will post immediately. Thanks for your support!

I can't seem to find a way to order another Writer for my iPad. I have the orginal Writer from Adonit and would really like to purchase another one for my iPad 2. I would like to order the Night Writer at the additional cost, but can't seem to get any response from anyone. Are Writers not available any more? I have several friends and colleagues that have seen my Writer and would like to purchase one as well, but no one can find a way to order one. Please let me know if it's possible to order a Night Writer for my iPad 2, and how, assuming it's possible, my friends and family can order one for themselves. Update #16: Weekly Update - May 10th
Batch one of the Writers in Chicago from last week is being delivered as we speak. Many people have received them and have given us some great feedback! For those of you still waiting, you won't have to wait much longer. The last and final batch that should fill all our Writer 1 Kickstarter pledges will be in Los Angeles customs early next week. By mid to late week (May 18-20) our distributor, Shipwire, should be sending them out to you.
