Potential SLASHER FEST '85 Contributors, 

First and foremost, thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule in order to glance over my proposal for the SLASHER FEST '85 short film/trailer project.  

This has certainly been a long time in the making, and I'm extremely happy to announce that through the aid of Kickstarter, my dreams of seeing this film come to fruition are finally becoming a reality.  

THE STORY:

SLASHER FEST '85 is set in the fictional world of Carpenter County.  A back woods little town whose way of life is about to get rocked by the arrival of the 1st Annual Slasher Fest Horror Convention.

Scream Queen legend, Jamie Saxon, has had a bit of a troubled past.  The survivor of an obsessed fan from two years prior has ultimately decided to move forward with her career.  Aided by her boyfriend, Chase O'Bannon, the duo attends Slasher Fest with hopes of a fresh start.

Unbeknownst to the couple, Maynard, the quintessential bogeyman, has stalked them to the event, leaving a trail of blood and guts in his wake.

Unfortunately, Maynard is not the only entity they will have to contend with.  The Wretched, an evil supernatural force has also arrived on the scene, and literally bringing with them Hell on Earth.

Through the course of one infernal night, Jamie and her fellow survivors must band together in order to thwart off the terrifying invaders before they become causalities of life imitating art.

MISSION STATEMENT:

You're not only contributing to my film, you're investing in a vision.  Nowadays, a script is simply not enough to gain someone's attention.  With this proposal, I plan to create not only a film, but an entire marketing package that will be crucial in raising funds towards the future of the franchise.  

The marketing package will consist of the following promotional materials:  The short film.  The trailers.  TV spots.  Music cues (only if the rights can be acquired).  Posters.  T-shirt concepts.  Feature Film Treatments (Original, Prequel & Sequels)  Graphic novel spin offs. Movie collectables - action figures.  Film festivals that specialize in the genre.  Horror film related websites & conventions that are best suited to promote the process of the project.  Potential sponsors.  

So basically, I'm thinking about the property as a whole.  The short film is just the first stepping stone in the journey towards a much greater goal.  And I know it in my heart, with your help, this is something that can happen and become extremely memorable for everyone involved.
