Managing is a half hour comedy about Four friends navigating the shift between college and adult life while surviving the suburbs.
We've been watching twenty-somethings on TV for years. Millions of us were captivated by the antics of our "Friends" as they lived it up in New York City. These days, the crews of "Happy Endings," "Always Sunny," and "New Girl," follow the trials and tribulations of their casts through Chicago, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles, respectively. The city has been the back drop for the stories of young people growing up for decades.
But what about those of us who aren't living it up in the big city? What about those of us who didn't make it right out of college? Those of us still languishing in the suburbs, stuck somewhere between adolescence and adulthood.
ABOUT THE SHOW
"Managing" is a half hour comedy pilot that we're making on spec. This means we're going to make this first episode and try to use that as evidence of the amazing potential we believe the show has. Jim Bishop and his best friend and fellow James James A. Janisse, JAJ to his friends, have been living in Bishop's uncle's apartment building since graduating college. Bishop has been working as building manager to save for law school while JAJ has been biding time as superintendent until he takes a swanky job offer in New York. When Bishop's cousin Victoria "Vic" Bogusz is handed the keys to the building to "teach her responsibility" and the building's tenants get fed up with JAJ's lack of handyman skills, the Jameses' best friend dream turns into a nightmare. Together with their old roommate-now neighbor Joel, the Jameses and Vic try to balance adult responsibility with childhood dreams in the shift from one to the other.

WHY WE NEED YOU
From its inception, we've been working on a form of this show for over seven months. It's gone through many changes to finally become something we feel is not only hilarious, but says something about the world in which we live. We've gone through writers' meetings, casting, production meetings, table reads, and all the other stages of preproduction... But now we need your help.
Actual production costs are many and large. Equipment rental, transportation, production design, food... these all add up and add up quickly. Your donation will help defer the cost of production and turn an idea that became a script into an actual pilot episode of a show. We'd be extremely grateful for any contribution you could make. Check out our awesome rewards section for incentives!
