Hi Wendy! I got my cards today, but I have a question... the 10 of Genitalia (the great wall of vaginas) looks to be printed upside down. Am I crazy or is it?

Am I the only one that hasn't gotten their cards yet? I'm hoping by making a big stink about it right now they will magically appear in the mail today and make me look like a big whiny ass. Which is fine, as long as my cards arrive today. The waiting is killing me!

I brought the decks to the post office Monday 12/5 at 8:30 AM. So they've been in transit for less than 24 hours.

Boxes will start being delivered to the post office on November 7, if everything goes according to schedule. We are going to try to get everything shipped as soon as possible, but we've never tried to move 1000 packages at once before, so it may take a few days to get everything boxed, labeled, and stamped.

I agree, Courtney! : ) My birthday is at the end of October, so i should be getting the tarot deck AND The Fabricated Book Of Finnish Folktales fuckery (if it stays on schedule. I have NO doubt it will be funded!) between my birthday and Christmas. It looks like November will be awesome. I had to treat myself by buying the deck as a bday present for myself ;) My fantastic husband gave me his credit card number to treat me to the book. (I called panicking and bitching because I had spent all of my money on groceries, and there were only 30-something books left an HOUR after it was posted! He must really love me to buy me fuckery for my birthday. Either that or he just wanted to shut me up...)
I just want to say that upon seeing the release date I am made even happier. This may well make this year my best birthday ever.
Wow! I got an e-mail almost immediately by Wendy. Apparently I wasn't the only one with Amazon issue. Whatever issue occured yesterday has since resolved (Yay!) and now the pledge is complete. ;) Yay! Can't wait for the deck!

Is anyone else having issues with the payment processing? I received an alert that there was a problem with the Amazon payment... there's no problem -- it authorized when I made the pledge. The credit is available, the billing address is correct... there's absolutely nothing wrong on my end and I've been using the card today online. But it keeps telling me it can't be authorized. How long do I have to resolve this before I lose the deck? And why oh why can't you use Paypal as an option? :(
Right now, our planned print run is 1144 decks. If we sell out with a week left in the backing period and there is a clamor for more decks, we may consider increasing the print run to 1288, buy no higher than that.
The "extra" pledge money is going towards expenses - printing, banking fees that kickstarter and amazon charge, and some other expenses that weren't anticipated a month ago (shipping the printed decks from the printer to us - they are heavy and 1100 decks of cards probably takes up the same amount of space and weight as a refrigerator, and then the cost of shipping the decks to you all), April's charity fund, and the artists who are creating the deck. There is a pretty detailed accounting on Caboosterkit.com "where the money is going" post. It works out to something on the order of 100 dollars for each piece of art, and that's if we sell out of all the rewards.
I'm kind of curious as to what is going to happen with the extra pledge money. Are more decks going to be produced than were originally planned or are we in for some completely new kind of fuckery? The world wants to know!

Some have said that this deck "should not be used for real readings". As a tarot collector and owner of many decks loaded with fuckery of all sorts, I do not believe this to be the case! I totally plan on doing real readings with this baby. You just have to open your mind a bit I think. Having seen some of the preview art, I can already see the meaning in the artwork. If it were just random images (like the Fantasy Showcase Tarot) I would agree that it's not really readable, but there is method to this madness... which makes it genius!

A question: most Tarot decks come with a "little white book" that talks about the different cards and their meanings. Is there a plan to include this? As a collector, I'd love to learn about what the artists intended for their cards, but also something about each artist.

Just sent in my pledge. I was sad because I didn't think I could afford one. Then I showed my husband, also a Regretsian reader, the "Ms gluing shit on other shit" card. After he finished laughing hysterically and once I was done telling the story of the 7 armed octopus he told me if I didn't get the deck he would probably never hear the end of it. Also, he wanted it. Really happy over here to be helping out and looking forward to more laughs!
