You can't stop the VMob!
Thanks to 105 backers, we have independently raised $6,540 of our $10,000 budget on our own web site!
Season two starts shooting in 23 days.
We walked away from an offer that would've funded the entire season (please read below).
We need your help - http://www.VampireMob.com.

Why we’re Indie & why walking away from money is hard
True Confession #1: We still don’t have the money to shoot season two and we start shooting March 6th.
As you may know, we had an offer from some very nice folks to help make Vampire Mob season two happen. Accepting that offer would’ve finished our fundraising and beyond with one yes and I could focus on the work at hand without that financial cloud looming.
Seems like an easy answer, doesn’t it?
There have been offers before that we have passed on, but this one was harder because there was a monetary value, expertise and a number of other advantages that were included and it was proposed now, a month away from shooting and with a budget deficit.
So, here I sit, staring at what has filled most of my days for over a year and a story I love to tell. I have invested my life into making this show happen, but I don’t have the money to make it happen.
Ninety-eight Supporting Producers who want to see more of this story, and have the dollars to help us make it happen, have donated $6,130.78. A Canon 5D, a lens, cards, batteries, monitor, sound gear, plus postage, Paypal percentages and the cost of printing T-shirts has chipped that down to zero.
Without getting into specifics, here’s why we said no while facing that number, zero: Saying yes would’ve changed the DNA of Vampire Mob.
In examining what was the original intention of making this story I found why continuing with that same intention is important to respect and continue: I just want to tell a story to an audience.
What makes Vampire Mob what it is, is the audience, the VMob or VMobbers. That’s what makes this show amazing to be a part of, the audience. When no one was watching and the view-ransom looked to many like a huge mistake, the audience was there, supporting, RT-ing on Twitter and reposting on Facebook. The audience kept me company, gave me ideas and suggestions and propped me up way before we ever started fundraising.
I could not have done the work I have on this show without the support of the audience who love this story as much as I do.
True Confession #2: We still don’t have the money to shoot season two and we start shooting March 6th.

If you’re a little short and can’t make a donation, tell a friend about the show, that helps more than you know!
Thanks for being on this ride with me!
