About this project

Our goal is set a plan in motion to organize a group of Beer,Lovers,Bloggers,and Home Brewers to collaborate with each member to create a nano-brewery that will produce an amazing, tasty, product and or products that will have craft beer lover's taste buds salivating every time they see their favorite brew on tap.This project will be called the "Beardedladybeer Open Source Brewery Project".

Open source, by definition describes practices in production and development that promote access to the end product's source materials. Some consider open source a philosophy, others consider it a pragmatic methodology. Opening the source code enabled a self-enhancing, group diversity of the production models.According to the Brewer’s Association growth of the craft brewing industry in the first half of 2010 was 9% by volume and 12% by retail dollars, when overall, U.S. beer sales were down by an estimated 2.7% by volume. This increase in craft beer popularity was due in part to the community of dedicated craft beer lovers. On the Internet one can find blogs about beer, Pod casts, and social media, highlighting new craft releases, which all play a major part in the growth of the craft brewing industry. Beardedladybeer Brewing Company’s, Open Source Concept will utilize this community. In addition we encourage community input into all product releases, asking opinions and comments, and encourage any changes that will influence the sale of our product. The concept includes the use of web conferencing calls with out-of state valued members to critique the product line. Also, guest home brewers and clubs will be brought in to brew their popular recipes for special tasting events, with consideration of being added to the product line. This addition will depend on overall membership comments. In closing with our definition of the Open Source concept, we would like to include the input of the same community which continues to forge the craft beer movement forward to assist our company to grow along the same line as the industry.

Initial Funds will be used to purchase appropriate licensing,building, Brewing equipment, and hire a professional Brewer.

Note: This equipment list will continue to change periodically .It was put  together over a year ago before we decided to take it to Kickstarter. As of this time we have our eye on a brewpub system and have been discussing the possibilities of purchasing it with the owner. More information will follow.

Please keep in mind that this is the seed or first round of funding as we begin our journey in the world of Brewing Beers. Once this round is completed we will purchase our equipment, find a home, and hire our brewer, and again we are starting as a Nano-Brewery, from the Small batches of great tasting beer built from the collaboration of people who actually purchase and consume craft beer.
