Thanks to EVERYONE that put it out there and supported this project! I know you all don't have a whole lot to go on seeing as I haven't put out a ton of music in the past year. I've always had trouble recording myself until I got this rather wonderful Ipad2. Literally, this entire album was recorded on an Ipad, But it doesn't exactly end there...I was happy enough to get some workable tracks and keep them to myself, even thinking about recording and then eventually going into a studio. I actually went to one, and practically shat myself over how much money they wanted for just a few hours to record!
Anywho, undetterred, I started recording basic tracks on the Ipad, randomly posted on facebook, "working on an album" and then got a bite. An old friend, Seth Bove, that I had played music with at Siena College yeaaaars ago, innocently posted on the post "Hey man, send me the tracks and maybe I can help you mix and master."
He had no idea what he was getting into.
Muahahahahaha!
Anyways, it's been amazing. I've spent upwards of a hundred hours recording these songs, attempting to find my voice, and experimenting with different sounds. Seth has put these digital tracks through the ringer, adding and subtracting, using analog equipment from the 70's and beyond, making them sound like they were recorded in a million dollar studio, and he's gone above and beyond to make them sound amazing. So, in a few short weeks, it'll be my honor to ship or hand deliver the cd, entitled Mountain Sons.
And it's thanks to you guys, who made it all worthwhile.
