Dan Skaggs started shooting FREELOAD in June of 2011. Production wraps this fall. Though Skaggs occasionally earns a small bundle from flying signs with the other wastrels, we need funds for his travel through November as well as post-production costs. 

Highway Goat Productions already has two editors, Ryan Seitz and Mather McKallor, from Bronson & Bronson Media in Seattle, which drastically slashes our costs.

We don't need money for sound because Missoula music purist, Bryan Ramirez, builds the score using three different bands from his world-renowned music label, Killertree Records.

We don’t need money to pay smart people to talk in this documentary because NYU professor and author of Rolling Nowhere, Ted Conover furnishes his insight without bribes.

We are as thrifty as Skaggs' compadres, but you can see by the trailer, we don't sacrifice quality. We’ve archived incredible footage in a year of shooting, but now, we need some grease for our wheels.

Hobos have bred a new class of young protagonists this century and our director is a crafter of their tale. This film will bring you into their world. We hope you'll consider donating because you want to see a movie with heart rise through the ruins of an economically desolate landscape. We hope you'll donate because you want to see a classic American saga remade in an age of squandered fortunes

We've said 'we' a lot in the past three paragraphs, when we really want to talk about you - loving our film as much as we do.
