Welcome everyone to our KICKSTARTER Project. We’re excited to bring our 100% independent project to you. We’ve brought Willy a long way from his independent comic book origins and look forward to taking him a whole lot further. To do that we need your support!
THE BIG IDEA
Perhaps it was not enough sleep or maybe it was too much coffee. In any case the interesting and off the wall comics of faith based artist Alain Auderset sparked the tantalizing IDea to create a 3D CGI animation series that captures the unique nature of his 2D comic universe.
One good IDea leads to another and soon we found ourselves embarking on a journey to make a non-dialogue 3D animated cartoon to be distributed to a worldwide audience via the internet, always holding true to our philosophy of finding new and interesting ways to captivate audiences.
ID is a “real” cartoon, in which Willy and Jasmine find themselves in situations that focus on different parts of modern day life: work, relationships, family, leisure time, and everything in between. It’s a no holds barred look at the human condition, bringing to light the humorous aspects of our lives that we often overlook and the interesting choices that we make every day. ID allows the possibility to deal with deep and meaningful questions in a fun and humorous context.
OUR GOAL
We need a total $99,999 to fund the first group of five pilot episodes to be distributed on the internet using YouTube and other broadcast sites for the whole world to enjoy. With it’s non-dialogue script, ID is ready for mass distribution and with your support we can to take our IDea to the next level and finish production of the first 5 episodes of the series to post on the internet.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. We’re storytellers at heart and we’ve primed the machine with 100 episodes of ID. Using the first 5 pilot episodes, we intend to find further investment in order to continue supplying ID to the world. The story starts here! The more this project gets backed above and beyond our goal of $99,999, the closer we are to our real goal of HELPING WILLY REALLY WIN!!!
BUDGET BREAKDOWN
So $99,999 sounds like a lot for 5 episodes? It’s not really. Pixar spent the same amount for only 3 seconds of Toy story 3. We’re going to give you 10 Minutes, or 600 seconds, of high quality animation!
Don’t forget that ID is a world wide collaborative effort by animation professionals. Aside from tons of coffee we need hardware, software, storyboarding, sound recording, modeling, rigging, animation, lighting, rendering, musical score, etc to complete the project. Each part of the process makes for a quality product and ensures that it reaches the people it is intended for. We appreciate your support and take your backing dollars seriously. Not a dime of your backing dollars is wasted.
RISK AND REWARDS
No risk to you! Kickstarter is all or nothing. If by the end of the campaign we have not reached or exceeded our goal, anything that you donated goes back to you. However, when we do reach the goal you will receive individual rewards based on the amount you gave. Check them out on the right side of the page. It’s a win-win situation.
THE CREATOR
Alain Auderset - In 2001, as a faith
based artist Alain published his fist comic strip “Idées Reçues” (“Received
ideas”) in French. The comic was quickly named a “Bestseller through self publication”
in Switzerland and has since been translated into 6 languages. Alain has since
released “Les indécrottables questions de Willy Grunch” in 2008 (“The
incorrigible questions of Willy Grunch”), as well as several other comics.
Overall Alain Auderset has sold over 100 000 copies in multiple countries and
is continuing to draw and create new comics. His unique style has won him
multiple awards throughout Europe, with the most notable being at the renowned
international comic festival of Angoulême, France.

AIDEZ WILLY A GAGNER SON COMBAT !!
Bienvenue à tous. Nous sommes heureux de vous présenter notre projet 100% indépendant qui raconte les histoires de Willy Grunch et de son amour de toujours, la belle Jasmine. Nous avons tiré ces 2 personnages des BD d’Alain Auderset avec le désir de leur faire vivre de grandes choses. Aujourd’hui nous avons besoin de vous pour transformer l’essai !
L’IDÉE !!
Etait-ce le manque de sommeil ou la caféine qui faisait son effet ? En tout cas, nous nous sommes dit que ce serait “original” d’adapter l’univers d’un original tel qu’Alain Auderset. Et l’IDée nous est venue de faire de ses IDées une série d’animation originale (dans tout les sens du terme) qui retransmettrait le caractère unique de son travail de bédéiste.
Une bonne IDée n’arrivant jamais seule, nous avons rapidement décidé que cette série serait un dessin animé en image de synthèse 3D non verbale (beaucoup du langage du corps… et un peu de langage visuel) et qu’il serait distribué pour un public international à travers internet.
NOTRE BUT
Mais l’histoire ne s’arrete pas là. Nous avons 100 épisodes d’ID à raconter ! A l’aide des 5 premiers épisodes pilotes, nous pourrons trouver l’investissement supplémentaire nécessaire pour que Willy et Jasmine vivent les plus folles des histoires, pour le plaisir de tous. L’aventure commence ici. Plus le projet sera financé au dela de notre objectif de 99 999 $, plus Willy aura de chances de VRAIMENT gagner son combat !
MAIS COMMENT ?
Vous allez me dire... “mais 99 999 $ c’est pas un peu beaucoup pour 5 épisodes ?” … hé bien... NON pas vraiment. Pixar a dépensé la même somme pour faire juste 3 secondes de TOY STORY 3. Pour cette somme, nous vous offrons 10 minutes, ou 600 secondes d’animation en images 3D de haute qualité.
N’oubliez pas non plus que ID a été créée par une collaboration de professionels de l’animation venant des quatre coins du globe. Donc en plus de tonnes de café (de préférence du Brésil), nous avons accessoirement besoin d’ordinateurs, de logiciels, d’enregistrer le son, de faire la modélisation, les rigs, les storyboards, d’animer, de créer la lumière et le rendu des images, de créer la musique, les effets spéciaux... etc... etc... etc... afin de finaliser le projet. Chaque partie du processus est minutieusement étudiée afin d’avoir un résultat optimum et une garantie de la qualité.

LE CRÉATEUR
Alain Auderset a créé sa première BD “Idées reçues” en 2001. Elle atteint les records de l’auto-édition suisse, est traduite en 6 langues dont l'allemand, l'anglais, l'espagnol, le danois, le chinois et le portugais.
En 2006 sort “Idées reçues II” puis “Les indécrottables questions de Willy Grunch” en 2008.
