The Rumschpringe International Short Film Festival is a dynamic and creative community event based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
This year marks the 5th annual festival and will be presented throughout The Ware Center | Millersville University Downtown --the City of Lancaster's premiere visual & performing arts destination.
Submissions have been received from all over the world in 5 categories: Drama, Comedy, Animation, Music Video and Horror.
The Kickoff commences on Thursday, 25 October 2012 at 7:30pm with a review of the best and brightest selections from the 2011 event. Seven short films (listed here.)
This year the film festival will include about 40 short films, totaling around 7 hours of great independent short film spread over 3 days in 4 screening rooms all under one roof, the Ware Center.
Your donation will be used, overall, to insure the continuation of the Rumschpringe International Short Film Festival. More specifically, it will be used to defray the cost of this year's film festival (theater and other rentals, production costs, etc.) AND to create the Rumschpringe: Best of 2011 (2 x DVD.)
The Call for Entries was launched in May 2012 and the due date for entries was 31 July. The judges are currently deciding on the Honorable mentions and Award Winners (to be announced on/around 17 September.) Here was a little video made as the 2012 CFE:
There are many great gifts offered for your support, suited for people who are planning to attend the 2012 Film Festival and for those who might support it from afar --receiving a supply of outstanding short films on DVD.

5) The 2012 Festival with Accommodations. This year we have connected with The Lancaster Arts Hotel to provide the full experience, immersing yourself in independent short films, the City of Lancaster, and avoiding any sense of politics and/or the real world for one weekend. Hotel Info.
6) The 2012 Festival (on DVD-R). All of the Official Selections chosen for the film festival (burned by me and selections to be announced.)
Remember, if this campaign does not reach its goal you will not be charged. Which means, if you pledged in either the Ticket Pre-Sale or Accommodation areas and the campaign is unsuccessful you will not have been charged for a ticket/room and you will need to purchase one when they become available. (Don't worry, we will save you one.)

Regarding the Best of 2011 DVD that we are trying to make... there are 12 short films (not 22), it says 22 in the Pledge/Gifts. (Sorry.)
