Update #2: Clips from Earthdance. T-shirt art unveiled; Archive Info.
Greetings wonderful supporters!
We are thrilled with the progress in our kickstarter campaign. Now that
the pledges have slowed a bit, I'm going to share with you some clips
from one place
where we have done a lot of filming, Earthdance -a US mecca for contact
improv, located here in Western Massachusetts where our production is
based. We hope these clips will inspire others to pledge who haven't yet
done so, and encourage others to upgrade their pledges.
Our filming has included dozens of dances and interviews at Earthdance. Here we share a tiny sample. You'll also get a rough idea of what the T-shirt looks like for $25 or more pledge, and you'll learn what will be found in the archives for a premium membership pledge of $95 or more.
The archives online will include our extended interviews with Steve Paxton, Lani Nahele, Martin Keogh, Eckhard Müller, Mirva Makinen, Asaf Bachrach, Rythea Lee, Brando Brandes, and others. The archives will also include gorgeous, extended footage from a Moab post-jam desert encampment, behind the scenes clips for our core production, much bigger chunks of workshops than can fit in the feature film, and many other delights yet to be unveiled. If you love doing and thinking about contact, I am pretty sure you're going to want access to this trove of goodies. (If you previously pledged a lower amount, yes, of course, we will honor all upgrades.)
If you’re thinking of pledging please do it now! The sooner we are assured of meeting the baseline kickstarter goal, the sooner I can begin to hire on people and get the editing process underway. It would be AWESOME if we could meet the $7500 goal by the end of this week. As soon as we meet that goal and are assured of funds, I am going to hire on an editor. I would love to get the editor onboard in December so that we have ample time to prepare for our meetings with broadcasters at the end of January!

Sanford Lewis, Producer/Director, has danced contact improv for about 20 years, and has been filming it for 11 of those years. He previously produced numerous environmentally oriented documentaries including Contaminated Without Consent, Burning Issues in Medical Waste and Off the Books: Environment and Human Rights. He is also a public interest lawyer who advocates on behalf of environment and human rights.
