Update #9: What a great way to end the year... with a dance of victory and gratitude
What a great way to end 2011! Your support of our December funding campaign raised $10,668 on Kickstarter, and an additional $1500 in pledges to our fiscal sponsor, the Center for Independent Documentary. This 45 second video contains a Thank You - a very short and fun "dance of victory and gratitude" by some of our production team:
What a magnificent feeling it will be to dance into the year and the editing process having an audience-supported budget of over $12,000. We can feel how your backing will bring an enormous boost of energy to our creative collaboration. So many deep lessons, supportive conversations and transformative moments along the way. I hope to write at more length about it soon. Suffice it to say for now, we are thrilled to be in this improvisational dance with our audience and supporters. Stay tuned also for more updates, and info on rewards, etc. in January.
Best wishes to you and yours for a Healthy and Happy 2012!

Update #8: Last 22 hrs! Some photos from a shoot. Share, share, share!
We're down to the last 22 hrs of the funding campaign, and have raised (both on kickstarter, and in direct contributions to our fiscal sponsor) a total of $11,450. That's impressive! $2500 more and we'd have February's editing budget in hand, in addition to January's! Thanks Everyone!
If you want to help further in the last day: SHARE SHARE SHARE: please keep telling folks you are talking to, facebooking, tweeting, calling, emailing or seeing around town about our campaign and its simple address, http://kck.st/contactimprov when you think of it on Friday. With your help in sharing about this project, it's still possible to secure the February edit budget by 11 PM Friday! And as far as I can tell, in this particular instance there's no such thing here as "oversharing."

Here are a couple of screen shots from a shoot I arranged and filmed tonight at Earthdance for our film: 4 dancers with 4 individually unique styles of dancing, each powerful. A dance of skill and authenticity. Pictured: Walter Jonas, John Barrett and Jennifer Dhyanna Nucci. Not pictured: Carol Douglass, our very own Production Visionary. Thanks to all four of them!
Good night...
Sanford
Update #7: Video - and Survey on Tshirt design
You guys reached the basic kickstarter goal - $7500! Thank you! Our editing process will launch in January as we'd hoped. Here's a video expressing our gratitude for your support!
PLEASE ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO KEEP THE PLEDGES COMING! WE'RE WORKING ON SUSTAINING THE EDIT PROCESS FROM JANUARY INTO FEBRUARY!
New reason to pledge now. The base price for our tshirts with awesome art by Susan Arnsten-Russell will go up at the end of the year. See below.
In 2012 the price for a TShirt will be at least $35. Help us finish out the year with more pledges, by pledging for one of the TShirt related rewards before friday at 11 PM.
Below are two competing T shirt designs for your input. I have been having a robust, improvisational conversation with the artist, Susan Arnsten-Russell on these. They are both gorgeous - what artistry by Susan! The designs are still preliminary, to be tweaked based on what will work best on a Tshirt (and further input from Susan and others.)
Consumer question: which one would you want? We may not be able to do both, unless the consumer interest is evenly divided between the two of them. Post a comment or send me an email letting me know your preferences. BLACK T SHIRT, WHITE T SHIRT. Which would you most prefer to wear or give as a gift? Email me: sanfordlewis@gmail.com
Remember, whichever design we end up with, the price in 2012 will be at least $10 more than the available price for a pledge this week. So pledge now, and get the TShirt at 2011 prices.

I think the piling design works better. I also think there are too many words floating around.

Update #6: Success! And a plea to keep up momentum!
Great day!
With
part of the $500 match considered (but not yet officially registered on
kickstarter) we've just met the initial $7500 goal! We'll be able to
launch editing in January! THANK YOU TO EACH OF YOU WHO PLEDGED AT EVERY LEVEL!
Please encourage others to keep those pledges coming. Editing doesn't end in
January, it just begins. The more we raise now, the more we can focus, going forward, on
the creative process of editing without dividing our attention onto
fundraising. Gracias! Thank you!
Update #5: Matching donation... up to $500!
