We've launched an exciting new project of our own! Introducing the Kickstarter app for iPhone!

A film ain't the only thing that's gonna be shot.

The Goal:  We need $18,500 to cover the cost of a high-quality short film called VITO WANTS OUT. This includes film equipment, cast, crew, food, locations, transportation, and an industry screening of the final cut. Studio executives and potential film financiers will be invited to the screening of VITO WANTS OUT in order to raise money for a feature film version. We have assembled an amazing cast and crew who are willing to work for a fraction of their usual salary, and have secured all our locations and permits with the generous assistance of the New Jersey Police Department. By pooling all our resources---technical skills, digital equipment, professional actors access, post-production facilities---we will be able to make a first-rate action-packed movie equal to the highest Hollywood standards for less than $20, 000.

The Story:  Vito is a small-time gangster with a big-time dream of becoming a successful actor. But he has a problem---he's a small-time gangster. He also has a strange wardrobe, a psychotic brother, and an agent who can't remember his name. Suddenly, a golden opportunity appears on the horizon, and Vito, galvanized by a chance for the big-time, gives his heart and soul. . . and possibly his life. . . for the fulfillment of his dream.

The Creative Team:

DAVE SCOTTI  (Actor, Writer, Producer) --- Dave, raised in Colts Neck, NJ, began his acting career in high school. After attending The Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre, he earned a BFA in drama from New York University, and an MFA in Acting from the University of Southern California. After gaining professional stage experience on both coasts, he landed the recurring role of Vito Manzi on the daytime soap opera General Hospital. He has acted and written a number of films including the feature film DOCS AND ROBBERS, and the HBO Festival winning short film THE RIGHT HOOK. His screenplay for THE RIGHT HOOK was published in the best selling industry book SHORT FILMS 101. (See davescotti.com for actor webpage.)

FRANK PERROTTO (Director) --- Frank, born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, started directing during his junior year of high school with the short documentary 'Shades of Death' road. The film went on to compete with projects made by university students at the Lehigh Valley Film Festival where it was nominated for Best Documentary, the first high school film to even be allowed in the competition. Frank then went on to study film directing and producing at the prestigious University of Southern California Cinema School under their Universal Pictures program. While there, he pitched and sold the option on a science fiction adventure film set in the mythical city of Atlantis. He was just 19 years old. Shortly after graduating, he moved into television and began his career as a professional editor, working for networks such as Oxygen, MTV, E!, and Bravo. Currently, he is editing season 4 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

ANGELO SCOTTI, MD (Writer) --- Dr. Scotti, raised in Red Bank, NJ, is a well-respected physician who has practiced medicine for more than 40 years. After graduating from Harvard University, he earned his medical degree from The University of Pennsylvania, and went on to run the Bayshore Hospital emergency room before opening his own wildly successful medical practice in Little Silver, NJ. He has published a number of books including SAFE SEX, and THE TRAVELER'S MEDICAL MANUAL.  He has also co-written several screenplays including the feature film DOCS AND ROBBERS.
