About this project
First Kiss is a short film we're shooting in Pittsburgh this December. We're a group of friends who have collaborated on a number of short films and webseries in the past, and this is one of the last projects we'll produce together before we graduate. With some support from you and the Kickstarter platform, we believe we can turn this project into a truly terrific short film.
HOW KICKSTARTER WORKS
People can pledge any amount of money - every donation helps, no matter how big or small. In exchange, we have a lot of fun and tangible rewards for your contributions. If we raise the $6,000 minimum in donations by the end of our 35-day Kickstarter campaign, the credit cards of contributors will be charged and we'll receive funding for our project. Your money will go towards professional sound-mixing and lighting design, as well as location fees, contingency, craft services, post-production, and festival submission fees. If we don't reach the $6,000 goal, no credit cards will be charged and we won't receive any funding. If we exceed the minimum goal, the excess funding will be put into making this production even better.
THE STORY
First Kiss is the story of Adam Schoenberger, a fourteen-year-old romantic who finds out a pretty girl wants to kiss him at his best friend's Spin the Bottle party. This short film explores the thrill of anticipation and the pangs of growing up, all in an unabashed ode to the agonies of adolescence.

Yulin Kuang was born in Guangzhou, China and grew up in Kansas, New Jersey, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She has written and produced a number of short films and webseries, and is currently pursuing a degree in Creative Writing and Film & Media Studies at Carnegie Mellon University. She has worked at ABC Television, 7ate9 Entertainment, and Leeding Media.
Her first kiss took place in her junior year of high school, in a cramped computer cluster while waiting for an AP Literature review session to begin.
