Dan Holmes Group wants you to experience summer with a concert series by bringing cameras into the studio for live online performances.
Hot New Orleans-style music (DanHolmesGroup.com), during the hot Texas summer - in the air-conditioned comfort of your own home/office/RV! Dan Holmes Group, along with the occasional special guest, is hosting thirteen shows, a Summer Concert Series, every Monday night, from June through August, using the streaming concert website StageIt. Take them with you on vacation, enjoy them on your deck - wherever you have a WiFi connection, you can enjoy the jazzy, funky, sultry sounds of the Dan Holmes Group!
So - the band has the music, and you've got the internet connection and the cold beers - what more could you need? Technology. Dan and his men are planning a whole new way of presenting streaming live music, and they can't do it without their fans. To show thirteen shows with top-quality video and sound, you need a powerful computer, good cameras and a video mixer. Dan Holmes Group is asking for funds to purchase a Mac Pro tower, six high-definition video cameras and a video mixer to tie it all together. Once these pieces are added to the amazing studio audio already in place, excellent sound and hi-def video will work as one. Since StageIt streams live, the band wants to be able to show all members doing their thing, much like seeing them at a gig, and the cameras will allow focusing on each band member in turn as well as the whole band. Sound will be mixed live in the studio with studio-grade mics during soundcheck, to ensure the best, funkiest sound possible, and then the Dan Holmes Group will stream into your computer in glorious hi-def video and sound from the Mac Pro tower, ready to bring a bit of New Orleans via Texas to the start of your week!
