Those of you slated to receive thank you notes and post cards, you should already have these beauts in your hands!

For everyone else awaiting your reward, please be patient. Due to the overwhelming amount of AMAZING FANTASTIC REALLY COOL IMAGERY taken on my trip, it has/is taking me longer then expected to edit, scan, and process.  I hope to have prints in the mail by mid December (perfect for the season of gift giving!)

You may be asking yourself, what is this amazing imagery that Kate speaks of? While I initially wanted to focus on American Homes, my creative spirit brought me to a different place. Looking through the work I shot in September revealed a mixture of homes, people, and environments. I'm very excited that I was able to expand upon my Home project, and also see the birth of new creative avenues!  So, without further ado... below is a sneak peak from my numerous contact sheets taken on my trip.

Hello Everyone!

All the words of encouragement, kind emails, and kickstarter alerts have bolstered my spirits more than you can imagine. It is especially touching to know that people are willing to take time out of their day and money out of their paychecks to support my project.  This whole process has me counting my blessing and my lucky stars.  I wish I could express more fully, how appreciative I truly am! :)

Second, a mini road trip update:

This past weekend I spontaneously traveled to Twinsburg to photograph the Twins Days Festival (the name says it all), which occurs every year in Ohio. My friend and I logged over 15 hrs and 1,000 miles of driving in under 2 1/2 days!

It was great to be on the road, behind the wheel, and photographing. And now, I'm all the more enthused for my American Photo Road trip!!
