An immersive poetic sculptural installation transforming a 30'x12' gallery into an ecology of living books.

Foot | Notes is a poetic sculptural installation launching in October at the new Envelope gallery in the LES. An immersive ecology created through book objects, the 12'x36' space will be entirely covered in recycled, re-articulated books that imagine the power of a generative use of "old media" materials. Produced by Poet/Artist Joseph A. W. Quintela with the aid of COLLECTnyc arts group, Foot | Notes will feature both performances and poetry readings in the gallery for the run of the installation. Samples from Joseph A. W. Quintela's current portfolio of poetic sculptures can be found here.

Money raised through this Kickstarter campaign will be used to fund the purchase of books and base material for the October installation. While many of the books being used will be sourced via recycling, construction materials are needed to re-form them as well as some books in specific shapes and sizes that will need to be purchased.
