What is "Pound for Pound"?

"Pound for Pound" is my student short film, winner of Best 3d Short at the Academy of Art University Spring Show 2012. Animated under the guidance of industry professionals from Disney, Dreamworks, and Pixar, the story follows two Shakespeare impersonators who clash in a turf war that results in a punchy partnership.

What does the funding pay for?

I've put all my resources into making "Pound for Pound", not just my time but my money has all been given to this project, in software, hardware, voice actors, and animation workshops--It has paid off; winning Best Short at the Academy of Art was more than I could've hoped. But now I have no funds left for film festival submissions, which can get as high as $100 per entry, not to mention materials/travel. I just need a little push to get started, and with any luck the ball will keep bouncing until I'm at a place where I can start my next film.

I've gotten a lot of encouragement from friends, family, and instructors. One of my instructors once told our class that our student films are possibly the last time in life that we'll have creative control. I took that to heart, and have done nearly everything myself.
