About this project
My name is RJ Grady, and I created Tripod Machine. Fantastic Creatures Special is a book that takes classic creatures of fantasy and translates them, mechanically and thematically, into the comic book superhero genre. This book will be fun, versatile, and, we hope, inspiring. My vision is to combine first-class game writing with eye-popping art to give you a premium tabletop RPG product. Fantastic Creatures Special will be published with pride under the Super-Powered by M&M license.
The primary writing is mostly completed, but we look forward to incorporating additional suggestions from the community. We invite you to become a part of this project, not only financially, but by critiquing and enhancing the content. Previews and playtest documents will begin to flow right away. Once funding is complete, we will add high-quality artwork that will knock you out. The funds for this book will be used to hire artists and to fulfill rewards that include physical product. Excess fundraising will be considered pre-orders of the book. It's really as simple as that.

RJ is a writer and designer of role-playing games. He wrote Unorthodox Barbarians for the d20 system and served as a technical advisor on Dawning Star: Operation Quick Launch. In 2009, he created Tripod Machine for his publishing projects. He wrote Adventuring Classes: A Fistful of Denarii, for the Pathfinder Role-Playing Game. He is a lifelong fan of comic books and spinoff media.
