Overview
The Big Hearts Fund project is about DESIGN WITH A CONSCIENCE. Money that you pledge on Kickstarter will go towards manufacturing beautiful and functional pet products. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL! Money made from the eventual sale of these products will go to benefit the Big Hearts Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds and awareness for pets diagnosed with heart disease. A Message From The Creator
Thank you for checking out our project! As you will see in the video (if you haven't already watched it), the Big Hearts Fund was founded because I have a dog who was diagnosed with a deformed heart valve when she was six months old. It was a confusing and scary time for us as we attempted to navigate what she could and could not eat, how much exercise she should reasonably be getting, and how on earth we were going to budget for her care. The Big Hearts Fund exists to help others who may find themselves in a similar situation with a pet they love. I did what I believe any person would do who was deeply affected by something... I decided to use the skills I have to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
So please! If you love animals, AND you love seeing awesome new products enter the world, help us reach our goal!!! Seriously, every little bit helps. And PASS IT ON to all your friends. If everyone you know and everyone I know gives $5, we will definitely reach and probably surpass our goal. And, you can feel good about where your money is going.

I am a creative and visionary individual, not afraid to take risks to make the world a better place or to find personal fulfillment. I am a practicing art therapist, and I am also an artist with a degree in design. I also love my pets! And, my dog has heart disease. So I've started Big Hearts Fund to help raise funds and awareness for other dogs and cats and their people who may struggle to provide these special needs animals with the proper care (it is costly and time consuming). I believe that passionate and creative people working together can achieve anything, and this is what it will take to change the world, one small step at a time.
