Hello and thanks for taking the time to check out my Kickstarter!


My name is Krystle Hickman.  I'm originally from Omaha, Nebraska.  I moved to Los Angeles for the diversity and what I hoped would be more opportunities for my future and career, which is exactly what I found.  In August of 2010, five months after quitting my office job, I rediscovered drawing.  

The first drawing I did was a simple pen sketch of Freddie from the tv show Skins.  After finishing that sketch, over a three week period, I drew every cast member from the first two generations of Skins.  I put the drawings into a video and sent it to the creator of the show.  He responded, to me, the same day and later asked me to draw portraits for the American version of Skins.

With that little bit of early success I made the decision to make art my life. I've been constantly drawing and networking.  I have a small, but growing fan-base and feel the next step is a website.  The purpose of the website is to showcase my pen and sugar artwork in a professional and classy manner to art galleries, individuals interested in purchasing and people who enjoy my art.
