BLUE has generated a large cult following in Orlando, and VarieTEASE has become a staple for the community. It is time to grow and share this oddity... Welcome to an ALL NEW 2012-2013 SEASON!. Take the obscure journey in Blue's mind for 5 VERY DIFFERENT shows this year. Trust that it will keep you WANTING, and you will see most shows more than once! With new shows come BIGGER Venues, EXTREME lighting, sound, and many rehearsals...
To put it into PERSPECTIVE... this is where the FUNDING will go..
1. Getting into NEW venue and morphing it into the new VarieTEASE home: with permits/coding, construction, staging/flooring, and licenses/city fees= $20,000
2. Lighting/sound= $1,500
3. Costumes/props= $1,000
4. Dance Rehearsals= Nice amount per month... I truly believe in taking care of my dancers/production crew.. and I want make sure they know they are appreciated!
IT TAKES A VILLAGE to make all of this happen!!!! All involved are dedicated to putting VarieTEASE on the Map as a destination for all to see in Orlando!!!! And not "tourist Orlando" DOWNTOWN ORLANDO...
Her shows are innovative, provocative, and gender bending.Through dance, multimedia, drag, and live sound... the audience will live the journeys and feel the power of almost every human emotion. And sometimes they might not have any emotion at all, as they find themselves wandering around in their brain trying to figure it all out. This is called the "VarieTEASE State of Mind"
VarieTEASE always seems to have that underlying tone of "DARKNESS". It is always a journey that finds the light through comedy all the while maintaining that sense of "odd". "It's an hour of whatever you want it to be" says Blue. "A moment to slip away from reality and get lost if only for an hour."
Also a DJ and former Ballerina, Blue uses MUSIC to capture feelings and to thrill crowds telling a story through DANCE and IMPROV! The songs write the movement her emotions create, and with the vision together, you get VarieTEASE!

The audiences that come out to her shows all share one commonality... and that is embracing CULTURE. The productions make people go to the theater, some who normally would not. This season will not only be full of surprises, but will provide an outlet for those who are exploring into the new world of ART!
To be able to take a blank canvas and MORPH it into a vision is what ART is all about and this is no different for the 2012-2013 season. It is time for this new span of shows to not have to be scaled down to fit into the same venues that have been used for previous work. There are new options and places to explore, and this is the year to complete what has been building for so LONG!
