About this project
UPDATE
In only four days and 22 backers we hit the goal! As promised there is a bonus reward - an alternate take of "Jet Dance." You can get it on my secret webpage here, but only if you become a backer, and get the secret code from the "backers only" update.
If you were thinking about backing the project, you still can. After funding closes, there may not be a chance to order a cd for a couple weeks as I get everything set up so get while the getting is good. (and you get the bonus alternate take).
Also, any extra money will help pay back the money I spent recording, and the musicians I lambasted into doing this pro bono. $1000 will buy me 1000 cds, but will not pay for the money I spent recording, nor will it help my pay my musicians.
Anyway, thanks for all the support!

Hi everyone.
I am releasing a recording I made of select compositions (the good ones) from my Honors Project, where I wrote and performed music for improvising musicians during my senior year at UC Berkeley.
Those of you who made it to my Honors Project Recital, know how amazing the group I had was, and know that this recording will be worth all the time and expense that was put into it. For those of you who could not make it: now is your chance to experience what you missed, only hundred times better.
The recordings have already been made, and sound great. All I need now is to raise the funds to get them printed and packaged so I can release my sounds into the world. I could easily spend $300 for 100 cds, or maybe even $500 for 300 cds, but that would not be nearly as cost effective as spending $1000 for 1000 cds (also the quality of the cds, and packaging will be much better at the 1000 price break).
While $1000 is a bit much for me to spare right now, I do not think it would be too much to ask from you. I really only need 100 of you pre-order the cd at $10 each to make this work, and, at the risk of sounding full of myself, the cd is totally worth it. I am blessed to have made with my musicians Forrest and Benny whose sensitivity and sense of musical adventure have resulted in pretty much the best music I have ever made in my life.

Roger approaches music with the understanding that it is a language. By playing with expectations, rhythm and impulses, tension and release, music bypasses the specificity of words and reaches straight into the human psyche. Shaped by a background in classical form and orchestration, modern compositional techniques, and jazz harmony, Roger’s original compositions and arrangements ask questions, take journeys, and describe sentiments.
