Here's the thing: Before I start naming allllllll of the amazing things you can do for me, I want to clear the air. I don't like asking for help. It's not in my nature, and my nature is pretty significant (trust me). But there comes a time when we all need to change, and for me, that time is now.
On May 13th, 2011, I will be a participant in the San Francisco Art Institute's annual MFA Thesis exhibition. This year's show will be held on Treasure Island, California - in between the bay of San Francisco and Oakland.
This is by far the most important show that my artwork has ever appeared in. There will be big-wig gallery owners and all sorts of fancy folk in attendance.
But here's the other thing: After years of school expenses, student loans and credit card debt, I'm completely tapped out. I have very little money to my name, and I worry that I will not be able to represent my work or myself to the degree that I want to.
How you can save me: In order to put on the show of my dreams I need a very modest sum of money.
I've already achieved my Kickstarter goal, but that does not mean that any money I receive from here on out will go to waste!
Additional funds will help me:
1. Launch a professional website (already in the works!)
2. Create promotional materials, business cards and advertisements for the show
3. Purchase additional materials such as paper, stretchers for canvases, pencils and frames
While I do not currently have a website (under construction and will be available in mid-April), I would be more than happy to share images of my work with you. If you need convincing, please send me a message and I will show you all of the work that I have in any way possible.
