Update #3: Thanks!
Dear backers. Thanks so much for you generous support of Appointment. Although we didn't make our goal (and you won't be charged for your contribution) I was truly gratified by the number of people who signed on to help us. I learned a lot about how Kickstarter works, and I am pretty excited to keep on pursuing both Appointment and new fundraising tools like this.
Please be sure and visit http://makeanappointment.wordpress.com to get updates on the project. I hope to see you at the office!

Update #2: The Sound of Appointment
Here is a recording I used at the end of my Appointment at Prelude 09!
Update #1: Appointment at Prelude
The first-ever Appointment was performed at the Prelude 09 Festival at CUNY this week. Audience members and curators came, were startled and amused, and also became part of the action, performed for each other unexpectedly, and helped us blur the lines among office life, live art, viewer and actor.
The next step is to remount these pieces to accommodate the viewers who couldn't get in at Prelude, and to shoot them for video We'd really feel we're onto something, and we'd love it if you help us move forward with Appointment. Please feel free to spread the word about the support you've already given.
Here are a couple photos from Prelude - the first is of Stacey Robinson performing Daniel Alexander Jones' "Blondell Is Businessfied". The second is from my piece, in which each viewer was asked - via an audio recording played at the end of the piece - to read the work to the next.
