Ties that Bind is the story of two estranged friends that are forced back together after the death of a mutual friend.
Greetings,
We are trying to raise funds for our short film Ties That Bind. The core of the story is about friendship. It deals with loss, distrust, and the frailty between the lines of good and evil, while being set in the Star Wars universe.
We need your help funding equipment rental, crafting our props, creating the costumes, building the set, bringing in people from across the country to work closely with us in post-production, and just the expenses that come from making a short film.
We will be shooting this at Broadview Media in Minneapolis, MN. The studio is one of the largest in the twin cities. It will be filmed against a green screen in the way of "300" then composited into a full-CG background.
It is our hope that we can make a film funded by fans of Star Wars and fans of film in general. We've strived to write a script that not only appeals to Star Wars fan, but to everyone looking for a good story. We spent months writing and rewriting, putting each draft through a three-tier system of film students, industry professionals, and the general public. With this process I feel we have crafted an amazing script you are sure to love.
