Nicholas King has been invited to attend the prestigious Gijon (Spain) International Piano Festival, August 16 - 28, 2012....and HE NEEDS YOUR HELP TO GET TO SPAIN!
Nicholas King is a classical pianist who currently holds the distinction of being the youngest musicians to ever win The Royal Conservatory of Music Concerto Competition and he's performed in major concert halls throughout the US, Canada, and Europe.
It's very difficult to be accepted into this festival! Nicholas will have the opportunity in Spain at the International Piano Festival to study with Robert McDonald (from Julliard) and Dominique Weber (from the Conservatory of Geneva,) both distinguished teachers who he really wants to study with to obtain his masters degree in concert piano.
Nick's passion is being a concert pianist and he's worked very hard to achieve his goal. But it's an expensive road to go down and he needs your help to make it to Spain! Why Should You Help Nicholas???
Lending a helping hand to anyone is the single most easiest thing you'll ever do in life that can make a difference and have a momentous impact.
Nicholas, since the age of three, has devoted his life to music. The countless hours of study and practice have lead to opportunities where, through his music, he's been able to help others and was recognized by the United
States Government, which bestowed upon Mr. King at the age of 11, the
Congressional Medal of Recognition.
He's a recipient of numerous awards and prizes including the Jack Kent Cooke Award, Nicholas His performances have been well received by audiences – his concert in the Walt Disney Concert Hall in July of 2010 ended with a standing ovation. He will be making his Carnegie Hall Debut in May of 2012.
In the 123-year history of The Royal Conservatory of Music, Nicholas King became the first freshman to ever win their concerto competition. Hailed as “one of the best young musicians in the country” by National Public Radio, Nicholas’s performance of Beethoven’s “Waldstein” Sonata was broadcast to over 26 million listeners.
Nicholas attends The Glenn Gould School at The Royal Conservatory of
Music under a musical scholarship, and is in the process of obtaining
his Bachelor of Music degree and Performance Artist Diploma.
