A 10-minute SCAD senior film about two kings of the forest fighting for the same crown who must set aside their rivalry to face a common enemy.
The Lion and the Unicorn is a 10-minute live-action dark comedy about two kings of the forest (a lion and a unicorn) who are fighting for the same crown. They must set aside their rivalry to fight Mr. Timberland, a shared enemy.
The film has a budget of $1,500. This will cover the cost of creating two complete costumes, a Lion and a Unicorn. Each costume consists of a hard resin mask, prosthetic hands and feet, and an animatronic tail. The rest of each costume will be completed with make-up, using dry-brush techniques to create the illusion of fur.
The $1,500 will also cover a variety of unusual props, including but not limited to: crowns, cakes, lumberjack accessories, and more.
Originally we were hoping to build the sets needed for the film (a bakery and an office), so if there is a surplus of funding, the extra money will be used to build these sets.
