SILENCER: The Story

What happens when two broke-college kids get their hands on a cybernetic super-suit and decide to become heroes?

Aerial fights, intrigue, computer-lingo, technological feats, Top-Ramen, reconnaissance, hacking, college loans and snarkiness ensue.

Follow Saatvik "Vik" Molhotra as Silencer, a suave (but not as suave as he thinks) and brilliant young man and his friend Landon Claremont, a very chill but very smart technological genius as they take on the criminals of Chicago. While Vik may have only taken a karate class when he was a child, and Landon’s attention span tends to drift from time the time, they’ve made an oath to their city to protect it all the while braving the storm that is young adulthood.

Intent

Silencer is an honest (despite it being in a world of super-suits and advanced tech) depiction of today’s modern world. There’s diverse characters each full of life and personalities you’ll come to understand and relate to. It’s about trying to make it through college life and standing on your own two feet. It’s about figuring out who you are, not what your parents want or even what your friends expect, but who you need to be.

Of course there’s lots of cool action with enough plot twists and turns to give you the  spins.

Your Pledged Dollars

All of the money is going to this comic book. My artist is very talented, and I got him at a very well-priced rate. I think it’s a realistic goal to get this comic book made with your help! I would love for this to become an ongoing series. I have some great plans for these characters and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Other than that, the money will be used to promote and distribute this book. I truly don’t intend on making money off of this thing. The work is more important and I find the actual outcome better than the profit. With this being said, any cost taken off of my back will be appreciated to the Nth degree.

I also intend to keep the channels of communication open. Have an opinion? Tell me. Like to see something make its way into the book? Tell me. I’m open to dialogue between the audience because...I am the audience! I know how devoted people can get to characters and how sometimes there’s a disconnect between the writer and the audience. I deeply care for these characters and I hope you all will too.

So please, donate whatever you can. Any little bit helps!

Quick note: With all of the funding that involves art from the artist, be them personal sketches or the full-page story, please allow some time for the artist to finish them. He is a very fast worker, but he's only human and he'll do his best to get them out as soon as he can.

Also, last bit of info. If we raise $1,800 that will be enough to cover the art for three full issues which will speed the process tremendously. The artist can work straight through to complete the arc at a much quicker rate. As an incentive, anyone who pledges $50 or greater will get all three issues on top of the other incentives they're already getting if we reach that mark once the arc is completed. I think it's a realistic goal.
