About this project
This is an opportunity to pre-order the book I've been working on with Annalee Allen, coordinator of the Oakland Tours Program, a member of the Alameda County Parks, Recreation, and Historical Commission, the author of the weekly Landmarks column in the Oakland Tribune,

The book will be images I have painted to go with landmarks Annalee has written about. It will be a beautiful keepsake to celebrate Oakland's 160th birthday. The book will be ready in early December, in plenty of time for your Holiday gift giving needs
I have completed most of the paintings and Annales has written about all of the landmarks, and now we just need someone to put it together for us in the elegant manner the City of Oakland deserves to honor it's 160th year. We have found that person in Carla Radosta. We have successfully collaborated with her in the past. These are samples of other work we have done with Carla
We plan to use the money to hire Carla and to fulfill out pledge requirements and for the administrative fees required by Kickstarter and Amazon for their services.

The money will be used to hire a graphic designer to layout the book and to purchase copies of the book for fulfillment of pledges.

Yes you can. We will be having a number of book signing events in December, and arrangements can be made to receive your rewards there.

Annalee Allen, coordinator of the Oakland Tours Program, a member of the Alameda County Parks, Recreation, and Historical Commission, the author of the weekly Landmarks column in the Oakland Tribune, a former member of the Oakland Landmarks Preservation Advisory Board, and co-founder and past president of the Oakland Heritage Alliance is collaborating with Heidi Wyckoff, watercolor evangelist to produce a book celebrating Oakland's rich HistorY for the City's 160th birthday.
Heidi Wyckoff is a bay area artist who started her watercolor career at the Ferry Building Farmers market, painting the produce and flowers of her fellow vendors. Her work can be seen in all Sur la Table stores, at the Smithsonian Institute and in local stores. She is the author of two other books, "Don't be Afraid of Watercolor: It's only paper, it's only water" and "If you Can't paint it good, paint it big, if you cant paint it big paint it red".
