Help us overcome censorship in our community and produce The Rocky Horror Show in a private venue! Every $1 donated will be matched!
We aim to secure funding for a stage production of The Rocky Horror Show in Carrollton, Georgia. What makes this significant is that it was recently banned from Carrollton's city owned Cultural Arts Center, where it was already half-way through production. The board of our community's Arts Center approved the show, which the mayor then over-rode and deemed the show too offensive, though it was already 18 and up only. This blatant censorship has awakened a vibrant grassroots movement in our community to support free expression in the arts. We intend to raise $10k to stage the show in another local venue. A local donor has agreed to match $1 for $1 any funds raised for this. This essentially doubles every donation you make to us!
