I know what you're thinking. You're thinking "Where the hell have you been?"
Sorry! It's been a hectic month. Between getting my books printed, ordering my Kickstarter rewards, going back and getting my books printed again, filling out paperwork for the state of California, tracking down submissions for Asocena, launching the first game I've worked on at Loot Drop (Pettington Park -- designed by Tom Hall and Elizabeth Sampat, check it out!), and attending the awesome and inspiring Allied Media Conference in Detroit, I haven't had the time I'd like to keep everybody updated. Honestly, until late last week I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get everything together in time for the conference.
But I'm back -- and the good news is, the books are ready! Due to shipping and a few last-minute details, the total price was $2343, about 50% higher than I had budgeted, but they arrived on time and they look beautiful. The bad news is, some of the Kickstarter rewards are not. In particular, Asocena hasn't yet gone to the printers -- believe it or not, there are still a few submissions to come. My intention is to finish up the PDF by the end of the week. I'm going to look into printing and assembling the books myself to see if I can save time that way -- otherwise, they won't be ready til close to the end of July. We should also be making the hardcover books this weekend. The custom dice have also not arrived yet -- I should get them within the next week or two. I really regret all this delay, but unfortunately I just can't afford to send the book and the rewards out in separate shipments.
I'll update again as soon as I have an idea how long Asocena will take. In the meantime, if you want your book sooner, and you don't mind receiving a PDF of Asocena instead of a hard copy, please let me know in comment or message and I will send your book as soon as possible. The ceramic tokens are also ready to go, as you can see below.
Thanks again for your support and interest! I promise I'm doing the best I can to get Dog Eat Dog to you without delay.
