Inaside Chicago Dance is in need of a permanent home and the historic Athenaeum Theater  (the oldest continuously operating off-Loop theater in Chicago) is the perfect fit.  Since the company’s inception in 2003, it has resided in various locales in the Chicagoland area.  The company currently rehearses in Evanston while the staff works out of the Artistic and Associate Artistic Director’s respective apartments.  In the 2011-2012 season, the Company has expanded not only in the number of dancers, but also in staff positions.  Inaside recently added a Youth Training Director, a Business Manager, and a Development Director to the roster. In order to accommodate the recent expansion of personnel, Inaside would like to relocate their offices to the Athenaeum Theater.  This will allow efficiency, organization, and improvements in communication between the members of the staff.

Chicago is our middle name.  The Company feels it is only natural that not only its performances occur in the city, but also its rehearsals and business dealings.  By moving the rehearsal space to the Athenaeum as well, Inaside will be able to conduct business, run classes, rehearsals, workshops, auditions, and performances from one central location.  Moving to the Athenaeum Theater is the vital step that Inaside Chicago Dance needs to take to propel itself forward to the next level and continue its mission to foster the rebirth of Jazz Dance not only in Chicago, but nation-wide.
