Update #22: Down, but not out!

Posted on July 31, 2011

Hello backers and supporters!

As I'm sure you're well aware by now, we were unsuccessful in funding The Blood Grinder Prequel: A Prequel to The Blood Grinder. Beers were had, tears were shed, and ceremonial suicide swords were drawn, but our spirits are still high. As we've said before, we will still be going into production in the spring, no doubt about it. We'll find another way to get the money, and it will likely be a combination of us doing some good ol' fashioned saving along with another, smaller Kickstarter campaign this winter. All of you will be kept in the loop through email, Facebook, and monthly Blodcasts leading up to then.

Matt, Nick and I thank you all profusely for your help, support, and encouragement during this insane endeavor. America will rise again this spring!

-Dave

David, I am so sorry that you missed your goal, but I have every confidence that you will find the means to film the prequel. Count me in for a donation. I can't wait to see the finished project. Love, Nana

Update #21: One last hurrah

Posted on July 30, 2011

Hey backers and supporters,

We are mere hours from the end of this epic campaign, and I just wanted to extend a warm thank you on behalf of Matt, Nick, and myself. If this campaign ends at 8PM and we go unfunded, I just want you all to know that this isn't the end. We WILL be making this movie next spring regardless of if we get the $15,000 we need tonight or if we find it some other way this fall.

This has been a humbling experience and I thank you all for your support. Without you, we'd be nowhere near where we are today. We will keep you all informed on our progress as we continue bringing The Blood Grinder back to life. Thank you all!

-Dave

Update #20: The Blood Grinder Blodcast - Week Thirteen

Posted on July 28, 2011

The final episode! This is it, everybody! We're down to the final hours of this campaign. Thanks for all of your support, and if you haven't pledged already, we hope that you do!

The Lead Detective on the Blood Grinder case has been kicked off of the police force! And when the 27th victim of the Blood Grinder is unearthed, The Channel 4 Action News takes you live to a press conference with one of the two new detectives taking over the case.

And in this - the final episode of the first season of Blodcasts - we briefly reflect on the weeks gone by, and not-so-briefly discuss True Lies.

Thanks, everybody! Whether or not we're successful, you'll be seeing us again next month for "season 2" of the Blodcast!

Update #19: The Blood Grinder Blodcast - Week Twelve

Posted on July 20, 2011

Hey guys! We're back with your penultimate Blodcast! Only 10 days to go, so let's spread the word and grind some blood!

In this week's Channel 4 Action News break, Bob Longfellow and Barry Chippendale report on the firing of the Lead Detective on the Blood Grinder case. Later, Bob is joined by a real, live lady of the night.

And then, in this week's Blodcast, we do Speed. The movie. You know, with the bus.

Thanks, everyone!

Update #18: The Blood Grinder Blodcast - Week Eleven

Posted on July 14, 2011

Hey guys! We're back with another Blodcast, and this one goes to eleven!

(see what I did there?)

In this week's Channel 4 Action News break, Bob Longfellow reports on the city's dwindling population and rising crime rate. Barry Chippendale reports from the most dangerous area in town, and the mayor interrupts her vacation (again) to offer some insight on the city's economy.

And in this week's Blodcast, we update you on our plans for shooting the short film, and discuss Wes Craven's "Scream."

Thanks for tuning in!
