About this project
The Backdrop:
Northeast Minneapolis is home to thirteen beautiful neighborhoods, full of parks, historical landmarks and artistic destinations. The Northeast Arts District, located in the heart of Northeast Minneapolis, is home to over 400 galleries and studios!
The Project:
The ride will take cyclists on a tour of Northeast Minneapolis, stopping through neighborhood parks for art installations and interactive activities. The ride will also take participants through the arts district, touring past great buildings and historical landmarks like the Casket Arts Building and the Grain Belt Brewery, all while using some of our new and fantastic bike trails and bikeways.
The ride will end with a celebration of music, art and cycling at one of the neighborhood parks.

Running an event in Minneapolis (legally) can get pretty expensive pretty quickly! We're doing what we can to facilitate in-kind contributions but we still need to plan for a lot of other expenses. Funds raised through Kickstarter will go to event costs like:
- Printing and promotional costs
- Map / route creation
- Tshirts
- Marking off streets and routes
- Permits
- Event stands/displays at the participating parks
- Safety needs for riders (first aid kits for tour guides, etc)
- Entertainment and permits for the after-tour celebration
- Volunteer supplies / rider organization needs
- and more!
