HolidayHoliday Records a Record... and, we need your help!

An UPDATE:

We only have a few days left and WE NEED YOUR HELP to DOUBLE OUR ORIGINAL GOAL!

We were incredibly lucky to meet our goal in the first 24 hours and surpass it in 48hours, so that was HUGE and unexpected and also a phenomenal self-esteem boost. Since it's 12/16 and we only have 10 days left, we want to see if we can double our goal in this final run up, so we are asking you, again, to help us make this new, updated goal of $1920. We're so close(!!!) and with your help we can definitely make the new goal. In case you're worried we'll take this extra funding and blow it on gambling and horse races, don't worry, we'll actually be using this extra funding for follow-up pressings and maybe have a little left over for additional administrative costs, like bailing Lillian out of jail if she ever gets too rowdy after a show (kidding!)

In any event, there are a thousand and one (musically) related things that we can support with this, so your help now is far from being just another drop in the bucket. It's still just as important as the first dollar we received.

Here's Our Original Plea:

For months we've been recording and mixing tracks for our upcoming 7". In the process, we've had the good fortune of working with a really great mastering engineer (Kevin McMahon at Marcata Studios, of Titus Andronicus and The Walkmen fame). It's been a lot of work (and, a lot of fun) and now we are in the home stretch - this is where YOU come in. With your help, we'll be able to take the final steps and get this 7" mastered and printed so people can hear it!

The importance of the vinyl is twofold:
1) A vinyl, when done right, can actually be a piece of art; not just aurally, but also visually. It's tangible and, with the cover art we've designed, really great to look at.
2) More importantly, we have music (LOTS of music) that we're proud of and want to get out and this vinyl is the big lead up to our full length album.

So what does all of this mean?

Well, helping us press and release this vinyl is a big part of helping us get noticed and grow our audience before our full length album release and we can't do it without your help. The $960 we're raising is not a lot but it's going to one of the most important parts of this entire project. That money, at the end of the day, is LITERALLY getting our music made.
