Am honest, in depth look at a decade in the life of male to female transsexual
I what to complete my film and get it out so that it can be seen by the public. In my view the term "transgender" is too vague and many people who might otherwise fall under that umbrella term do not identify with it.
Transsexuals like myself , who as a group fall into the category of transgender, are all unique. When we use terms like "pre-op" "post-op'. and "non-op",the effect is to splinter splint our community.
When this documentary is complete, it will cover the decade in my life during which I moved from being John Josephine Carney to being who I am now:Janice Josephine Carney.The film will be both educational and entertaining,and everyone who views it will walk away with a better understanding of what it means to be a transgender person.
