Still getting all of the books shipped out the door! If you haven't received your books yet, you should get them soon! We mailed a few chunks and will get the rest mailed this week. A few people will take a tad longer (you know who you are) because I need to ship books to Ibrahim first to work with for you. :)

Morning all! It has been a few days since SDCC finished and I'm exhausted! The convention went really well on multiple levels and I just wanted to drop you a "what's next" mail. If you haven't already, please email me your snail mail address so I can mail your copies of Citizens and/or Faction to you. For some people, I'll need to get copies to Ibrahim first so he can do his custom sketches and such. It may take a few days to get everything out to the rest simply because after the convention, I got sick! My body lasted through the convention, which was a lot of work, but threw in the towel as soon as we walked out the door on Sunday. Don't feel bad for me, though, it was actually a good thing ~ we survived! Ha ha... Here's a pic of some boxes of the books... They look amazing in person!

Our books delivered to my house today. It was kind of cool having a carrier come with a lift gate and drop a pallet of books at the bottom of my stairs. I'll get some pictures posted when I have a chance! Today, went through everything, pulled out the rewards for pledges and presales, threw some bundles together, packed up, went to SDCC, and checked things out. Already have seen some amazing stuff at the convention and tomorrow is bound to be even more interesting as people scramble to get their booths set up and then the fans hit the floor tomorrow evening.

What would happen if, for whatever reason, mid issue, you have to switch artists? Well, we're about to find out! Ibrahim Moustafa, artist of the Citizens is actually taking over on Faction! The reasons aren't important, but know this, the quality is just as great as it was and it's better, overall, for the project, so welcome to Ibrahim!!! Check out this sample... Nice, huh?

Just wanted to post a quick update... We are hard at work wrapping up the first issues of Faction and Citizens. As soon as Ibrahim finishes the artwork, he's going to dig into original sketches and such, so I'll be in contact with people individually about that (if applicable).

Now, as far as individual issues and such, as soon as we get the books finished, sent to the printer, and returned, we'll get those out the door, so it will be a few weeks yet. :)

Exciting times! A lot of new people have been pledging their hard earned money to the cause, which we REALLY appreciate!!! Just 28 hours to go until the fun begins... then we're off to finish up the book (coloring mainly), get it to the printers, get it back from the printers, go to SDCC, and mail people their pledge rewards! Thank you all so much!

Originally, a guy named KT Gravatt was the artist of Faction, but for various reasons, between Rounds 2 and 3 of Small Press Idol we parted ways and Arnie and I started working together. Check out some of the artwork from Small Press Idol Round 3 from last year!

Thank you soooo much to everyone who pledged! We hit our target yesterday and are hard at work completing the books so we can get them to the printer. We're a little bit over our goal, but we could always use more! Anything else we get enables us to actually get closer to lowering our per unit cost by printing more copies. The only thing we won't print extra copies of are the exclusive variant of Citizens and the Citizens print, since those are set runs.

Well, as of this morning, we're only $495 away from our goal! Just because I'm excited, I thought I'd share some pages from Faction issue 0. This one is in black and white, but the final pages of Faction issue 1 will be in full color. Nice stuff, though, right?

I didn't even realize I had this image! Michael, Ibrahim, and I traded so many emails, I lost this one in the shuffle... Entropy, arch enemy to the original Cosmicus... Cool huh?
