Hello, and welcome to Alchemyst!

For millennia men have lusted for gold. In their attempts to find gold they would conquer and pillage the countryside. Others, who were less handy with a sword, attempted to utilize their minds to find gold. They turned to Alchemy. They would attempt to change base metals into gold. They studied the four elements to unlock their secrets. They searched for Aether, the fifth element. This game is based on that search. Unfortunately, they found no gold, and neither did we. We do have explosions however, so there's always that.

The Game

Alchemyst is an easy to learn card game that we've been developing over the last several months. We started with a simple concept, playing cards on a field and collecting points from making combinations of cards. This quickly turned into much more. We began adding cards, such as Chain Reactions, and others to add depth and variety to our very basic beginning design.

Included in the game are:

64 Basic Element Cards

4 Aether Cards (Wilds)

8 Chain Reaction Cards

4 Elemental Chain Reactions

4 Poisoned Element Cards

4 Poisoned Aether Cards

4 Scoring Cards

1 Set of Instructions

Why Kickstarter?

We're at the point where we are trying to get the game out of the prototype and testing phase to actually having the game in our, and hopefully your, hands.

We need about $6,000 in order to pay for the costs of printing and shipping the cards. Also we would like to pay our artist, MIchael.

Overage

So what happens if we go over the $6,000?

Well, at the low levels, not a whole lot. We will try and offer some additional swag.

However, if we make many times over what we need, we can start on our next step. We always intended this to become a phone app in the end. If we make $80,000, then we'll start on that sooner, rather than later. Also, if we make the $80,000 mark, anyone who donates at any level would get an ad free copy of the phone game when it comes out. In review...
