Let's give a rewards update, k?

DOWNLOAD: As of last night, you should each have received a message containing a link and download code.  That's your ticket to download the 12 songs from the CD you helped make a reality.  There are also 32 bonus tracks, 30 of which are the instrumental versions of the ringtones we made for the "deluxe package" backers.  Something just occurred to me: for those of you with kids who can read, maybe don't let them see all the bonus track titles because we worked slightly blue on a couple of them.  VERY slightly blue; adults will be hugely let down.  And of course we're talking the titles only--there's little actual swearing in those instrumentals.

If you didn't receive that message with code, please get in touch with me through this page, or other means if you know me personally, because that's an important part of your reward package! 

Please listen the hell out of it.  We hope you enjoy it, since it wouldn't have happened without your help.  NOTE: We will release the album for streaming or paid download sometime in October, so remember to get listening now, lording it over all the people who can't yet (one can only imagine their envy).

CD: Most of the backers are owed the CD itself; we expect to receive it shortly before our release show 10/19 at the Pinhook.  We'll get it to you the way you indicated in your survey response. If you didn't respond to the survey, you still can, or we'll seek you out after 10/19. If you responded but your situation changes, no problem there either--just let us know.

NICKNAMETONES: As mentioned in the download section, we've included the instrumental versions of all the ringtones.  The complete nicknametone with your name and band-generated nickname is, of course, a personal thing, so only you the individual will receive that.  That will be via email, as we get them done...we're hoping to get a lot of them recorded Sunday, but in any case we'll get them to you as soon as possible!  They will all be done before our release.

MASTERING - We approved a final pass over the weekend, and the master will be going to Sire Press with plenty of time for our release show 10/19.

CD ARTWORK - Lincoln Hancock finished our CD artwork and design, with some help from Ben Spiker, earlier this week, and so that's also in the hands of Sire Press.

POSTING MASTERED SONGS ONLINE FOR DOWNLOADS - This should be VERY soon.  The songs from the album are all done, and we've mixed 30 of the 32 bonus tracks.  We expect to put it all up on Bandcamp--in a super secret way at first where only our backers can stream or download it, natch--by or before this weekend!  Those whose mouths are agape at the sheer number of bonus tracks should know: we decided to include all 30 ringtones (music only - your nickname and how we sweetly [or not] sing it to you is a unique gift for you alone, though we do highly recommend adopting it as a theme song) amongst the bonus material due to the very positive response we've received playing some of them at shows.

NICKNAMETONES - We're done with all the music as alluded to above, and are working on the singing for each track.  We'll start sending these out as we go since each person's is unique.

HAVING A KILLER CD RELEASE PARTY - How about this?  We were set for Saturday, Oct 20, but we just COULDN'T WAIT so now it's Friday, Oct 19.  (The real reason being we helped out our friends who'd booked 10/19 and then weren't going to be back from out-of-state).  If you're in the area, check it out!  It's at the same club where we recorded the majority of this album and includes Amor de Cosmos and Submariner.  www.facebook.com/events/147665895377296/permalink/147665898710629/

Matt/Le Weekend

The three of us worked with engineer Nick Petersen of Track and Field (you know, the guy who recorded the parts that sound good) last weekend and the MIXING is done.  Now we've moved onto MASTERING with Carl Saff, or more accurately we've moved onto getting in line so he can begin mastering us as soon as possible.

-Here's what else there is down the road: CREATING CD ARTWORK, HAVING CD's REPLICATED PROFESSIONALLY, POSTING MASTERED SONGS ONLINE FOR DOWNLOADS, and oh why not? HAVING A KILLER CD RELEASE PARTY.

Thanks again to everyone who kicked in and made this all possible!  Keep watching this space for updates on the process of bringing this CD into the world, not to mention the sweet sweet sweet rewards.
