Well everybody, BEEP did not meet it's goal. I truly appreciate all the help and support everybody gave and I am sorry that I can not send you out your own BEEP fresh of the assembly line!
I know now that working a full-time job, and being a dad, and trying to make a project like this go viral is just not likely. If I were to do this again I think I would want a team of people working 40hrs/wk blogging,Tweeting, Emailing, Calling, yelling from rooftops, etc. Then, it might just break that barrier.
I am very grateful for the people who took time to share this by word of mouth and social media, and especially grateful to Cathy Earle for her awesome blog post! We did our best and it just didn't catch on.
It's OK. BEEP will always live on in my heart and in my portfolio. I hope to make a less-technical bendy or plush version for Vega because she put so much effort into this project and was so excited about it.
We learned a lot about transitioning during the 3 years of this project and she is great about getting off the computer these days anyway!
BEEP is "Patent Pending" and always generates a lot of interest so, who knows, maybe one of these days some interested party will want to buy the idea or invest in it and BEEP or BEEP v2.0 will emerge! If so, I will most definitely not have forgotten all of you wonderful people who were here with your support!
Until then, it is on to the next thing! Vega and I have a great idea for a Sci-Fi Puppet show! Maybe it is time to re-focus our creative energies that way.
Thank you all so much!
