Are you open to new realms?
As we produce “Openings”, we are witnessing the impact of countless synchronistic events - like Déjà vu on steroids - all culminating together to provide guidance, inspiration, and even a strange kind of humor. Throw in a mix of quantum physics, spiritual masters, and good old-fashioned LOVE, and you have the makings of a wonderful feature length film.
With your support we can add the last finishing production and post-production touches and actually release this movie over the Summer - we are so close, and we really need your help (no amount is too small).
“Openings” brings a fresh and unique perspective to the inner worlds of human experience. The film reveals true experiences with higher dimensions in everyday life. Through interviews and reenactments, real people tell their own stories of synchronicity, shifts in consciousness, and meetings with Angels, Ancient Ones, and Inner Masters. Coming from a wide variety of cultural and religious backgrounds, the Opening's interviewees are not afraid to break new ground and explore new realms...
We have learned in the process of making this film that miracles are not rare and random events confined to the past. They happen everyday, small and great. As our project grew, more and more stories of synchronicity, opened awareness, and contact with Ancient Masters came flooding in. Virtually everyone we talk to about the film has had such an experience, or knows someone who has. We are eager to share these amazing, heart-opening stories with the world.
So far, “Openings” has been self-funded, but it is growing into a much greater enterprise. What began as a short, local movie has transformed into a full-length film featuring interviews with such notables as Joe Vitale (author of “The Attractor Factor” and co-star of the blockbuster film, "The Secret"), Brad Szollose (author of “Liquid Leadership”), William Gladstone (author of “The Twelve”), Peter Pino (Zia Tribal Elder), and many more. We are 75% complete. We need only to shoot the last few scenes, create special effects, and then dive into post-production. For those tasks we are seeking $7,000 through Kickstarter. “Openings” will be released in late summer 2011.
We can't wait for viewers of all spiritual perspectives to experience the common Spiritual threads we have discovered through making this film. And we would love for you to help share the experience through your participation on Kickstarter.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Where can I learn more about the project? Please visit our official website, www.openings-movie.com. There you can find a full synopsis of the story, filmmaker bios, our trailer, and photos! We will constantly add media and updates to the site, and by making a contribution, you will gain access to exclusive video footage and behind-the-scenes updates hosted there.
Is my pledge amount publicly displayed? No. Only you and the project creator will be able to see your pledge amount.
If I donate, when can I redeem my reward? All perks, big and small, will only happen if our goal is met. If we do meet our goal, immediately after our deadline we will contact you to start the process. The screenings, parties and dvds etc. can only happen after the film is completed, so this will take a bit of time. Bear with us!
What if I don’t want the reward, I just want to support? No problem, there is a button that you can select if you don’t want the reward.
Can we exceed the goal? YES! This would truly be amazing. Kickstarter will allow as much money as is given before the deadline. This is only the beginning of our journey with this film; exceeding our goal would allow us to make a better movie and increase our chances of beginning production without delay. Exceeding our goal would be a dream come true!
Can I increase my pledge once it’s been made? YES! Once you donate to our campaign, you may want to change your reward to a different one, or increase your pledge amount. To do so, go to Kickstarter and sign in. If you go to our campaign page, the green “Back This Project” button has been replaced with a blue “Manage Your Donation” button. Click it and you can enter a new amount, or choose a new reward.
Can I give my reward to someone else as a gift? YES! That’s very sweet of you. If you would like to donate to the film but give your reward to someone as a gift, go through all the normal process of making a donation in your name. For billing purposes, this action must be in your name. After our deadline, we will send a message to you on Kickstarter. (It will be forwarded to the email address you provided). We will request things like your t-shirt size and address from you at that time. If you’re giving your reward as a gift, simply include the recipient’s information, and any note you’d like to include. We’ll make sure they get it!
What happens if the money isn’t raised in time? If our goal isn’t met before the deadline, your card isn’t charged, and no movie is made. We want to avoid this scenario at all costs!
Who does the money go to? Every penny (minus the fees for Kickstarter’s involvement) will go directly to the Openings movie budget--your money goes directly to the funding of this film!
I'm not in the US. Can I still pledge to projects? Yes. You can pledge from anywhere.

Director/Producer Mark McGinnis lives outside of Boulder, Colorado with his wife Kim and two dogs. Mark has worked for various Fortune 500 Companies, founded a successful Hollywood-based ad agency, an outdoor lighting manufacturing company, and now owns Avenstar Productions. Avenstar creates television spots, national infomercials, corporate media, markets businesses world-wide, and now produces feature films. “Openings” is Mark's first feature film. He will soon be starting his second feature film called “Within”.
