About this project
COLLABORATING ON THE FUTURE
Our book, The Future We Deserve is a world-jam, a place to create and share our visions of the possible future for the people and the planet. In 100 days, we are collecting 100 visions of the future, both dreams and practical technical realities, in a sourcebook for creating a new future.
Everything will be fully open under Creative Commons licenses. The book represents a jumping off point for a whole set of new projects. After the book is done, we'll take the team and the vision forwards to make The Future We Deserve real.
PRODUCING THE BOOK
As of July 7, 2010 we have 70 authors signed up and we are actively looking for more. Each person writes one or two short essays on their part of the vision. Together, the team forms the flow and the story of the book from these visions. The complete book will be available as a free PDF and as a physical book.
WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT
Producing a book, even with lots of collaboration, is a big project. Your funds cover all the coordination and tool-building required to pull this all together.
