We've got just one day left before the kickstarter closes. It's all been very interesting and exciting. I have learned a lot. After it closes the clip and other photo accessories will be available exclusively at Nice-Industries.com until I can get them into stores - which may or may not happen in time for the holidays this year.
All the details are coming together nicely. Today I received the 3M VHB
adhesive (the minimum order of over 15,000 pieces!). And the first full
run of the clips should be here in less than a week. Packaging is done
and should arrive in about a week as well. Lens caps are on the way, too
- and the custom lens cleaning cloths. We just have to assemble, package, and ship.
When I started I knew that despite the project basically being a simple
clip, it would be a lot of work. I didn't realize it was going to be months and months of work that culminated in six weeks of non-stop all-nighters - working from 7am to 3am back to back to back, stealing
away five minutes at a time to spend with my son who is just about to
turn three.
I'm not complaining. It comes with the job. I don't forget for a second how fortunate I am to be able to take these crazy chances on my and my family's future. I say it because
I want the people who have supported this project to know how deeply
thankful I am. Without you this all could have been for naught. Maybe it's the lack of sleep making me sentimental. :)
Taking The Nice Clip from kickstarter into the real world is likely going to be a
long, hard road, and an interesting journey. I can't know where it will
take me, but I'm excited to find out!
Thanks again to everyone who has helped make this project such a huge success. You are each an essential part of the team!
Cheers,
Zeke

Next Update: I'll explain how things will work after the project closes - just in case this is your first kickstarter project.
