Offered for the first time ever, my ART! Don't miss your chance to make an exciting investment!

Hello folks, for 2 WEEKS only I'm offering art by commission! I'm off to India and to fund the trip, everything I'll make there is for sale — get it while it's crazy cheap ;)!

I was selected as one of 20 international artists to participate in the artisan village of Raghurajpur, where I'll study carving, painting...even sculpting in elephant dung! It's an honor to have been selected to learn from these amazing craftspeople in their ancient traditions. And now to fund the trip, I'm offering the artwork I'll be creating there for sale in advance.

FAQ

  • I hoped to muster the funds without being a pest...but I just left my doctor's appointment, where I discovered with dismay that the seven necessary vaccinations and prescriptions—against malaria, typhoid, polio, and all those other lovely things—is going to run me over $600 out of pocket. Slapped on me right after learning I have to pay for a dental extraction beforehand, as well. Sooo, I'm kinda freaking out right now and wondering if I should call the whole thing off. I had accounted for the vicinity of what Haiti had required, but sounds like jungle diseases are a real treat. So the medical expenses on top of needing a dental implant are honestly a huge bummer.

  • A residency provides the artist with housing, workspace, and a supportive environment to create. In exchange, the surrounding community benefits from an influence of ideas and skill sets shared by the artist. Indeed, in more affluent places a well-established artist may receive all expenses paid, exchanging teaching or artworks in return. Although the majority of costs for what I am to gain is being provided by the village, I still have to get there as well as pay for materials. And then there's the medical, ughhh.

  • YES!! Maybe not my general forte, but then again when have I fundraised ;)? But moreover, your generous donation will be providing me 5 weeks of solid, uninterrupted time to produce art. I will certainly need time on return to create the prints, but your artwork will have been completed while still in India and will be in your hands by a deadline of December 18th, come hell or high water. ;)

  • Nope. I'm dead serious, folks; if I don't sell some art within two weeks to fund this trip, then my career as an artist will become tragically short-lived. Don't make me eat paint or cut off my ear, ACT NOW! (please and thanks! ;)

  • Have no worry! If the enormous discount ;) I'm providing at right doesn't have you convinced to purchase in advance, then I'll be providing a small collection of watercolors and prints just for you...so stay tuned!
