Update #9: In memory of Steve Jobs
I had been planning the holiday release of "Contagion: The Macabre World of the Zombie Hunter" on the world wide web over a week ago. It took me 30 hours to take the uncompressed footage and encode it to the YouTube HD codecs. It took me another couple of hours to upload the entire 93-minute film. Then I heard Mr. Jobs had passed away from pancreatic cancer.
Here was a man who influenced the world with his ideas. He was generous to share his ambition with anyone who would listen. His inspiration was infectious, and thus the entire world listened. He touched everyone's lives, from Apple software/hardware to Pixar animations to iPhones and other gadgets.
Mr. Jobs's passing reminded me of the day I heard Jim Henson (Sesame Street, The Muppet Show, Yoda, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) succumbed to bacterial pneumonia, great men who had all the wealth and influence only to be defeated and deprived of years by mere microorganisms. My point is we don't know how long we have on this planet, and we need to make the best of it. Surviving my own car wreck taught me that painful lesson that life can be fragile and fleeting.
It is sites like Kickstarter that take that the seed of an idea and make it reality. Successful or unsuccessful a pledge campaign, it does not matter-- the seed has taken root and begins to grow. In face of adversity, I continue to edit "Contagion 2" to this day. Much appreciation to the founders and supporters of Kickstarter.
As testimony to Mr. Jobs's greatness and in the spirit of the holiday season, I am releasing a free screener of my award-winning indie film from now until All Souls Day. Please spread the link to as many family and friends possible.
Thank you and be inspired to greatness.

Update #7: Viewers Like You
1969 was a different world.
Yet, Fred Rogers was able to ask for $6,000 from the U.S. Senate. It seems so long ago, but it is more relevant now. We can pull this fundraiser off. Let's buy the 430 DVDs. We'll give it our best shot.
Thank you, Neighbor.
Know anyone who looks like Fred Rogers and interested in playing his zombie alter-ego?
Update #6: Ice Breaker
