A series of zombie-themed web shorts, featuring Richard Hatch (Battlestar Galactica) and J. Larose (Insidious).
The Story: There are certain places throughout the world that possess supernatural properties, where the dead inexplicably rise from the grave to hunt human flesh. Charged with defending this dangerous secret are a group of highly skilled agents in a private organization referred to as "The Undertakers". Their mission: to identify, segregate, and stand vigil in these dangerous areas preventing the possibility of a catastrophic outbreak.
The Players: These webisodes are proud to have the support of Richard Hatch (Battlestar Galactica), who will portray the role of The Professor in the webisode and J. Larose (Insidious) who will play Talon Black...both agents in the war against the undead.
The feature film entitled The Undertakers: Road's End will also boast Edwin Neal (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and Lindsey Haun (True Blood).
Our Current Mission: Our goal, this summer, is to produce two short web videos that take place in the world of the Undertakers. They will feature two supporting characters in a series of events leading up to the feature film The Undertakers: Road's End. The purpose of these videos is to give production companies and potential investors a glimpse into the gothic world of the Undertakers in an attempt to raise funding for the feature film. It is also important for us to have something more than our current storyboard/trailer to represent our vision. Since it was produced, there have been major screenplay charges and character alterations... We have some fixin' to do.
GOAL 1 - If we meet our goal of $28,000 we will produce "The Professor", a stylistic vignette featuring Richard Hatch as he introduces us to the world of The Undertakers inside Road's End Cemetery.
GOAL 2 - If we meet our goal of $55,000 we will also produce "Resurrection", a webisode featuring J. Larose as Talon Black in events leading up to the feature film "Road's End".
If our efforts fall somewhere between the two, we will roll the money over into a new campaign to raise the needed funds.
Our Overall Mission: If we are successful in meeting our goals, The Undertakers will flourish into a flurry of stories that will be told in several different formats, including the feature film, comics and even a television show. These stories will involve multiple characters, scattered all over the world, who have dedicated their lives as agents in the oldest most secretive organization on earth.
The Crew: The webseries and feature film were created by writer/director Kevin Head, whose bio you can read at the foot of this page. He will be supported by DOP Alex Mitchell who will shoot the project entirely using the RED ONE and Breakiron Animation and Design who will focus on the FX aspects of the project. The rest of the crew will be rounded out by an incredibly talented group of professionals, mostly volunteering their time to bring this vision to life.
WHY KICKSTARTER? With the world's economy in a major downturn, most studio/production companies have narrowed their slate of films for the near future. This is making it nearly impossible for even established directors to get their projects off the ground. So, we have decided to take matters into our own hands and take a more unconventional approach. But in order to get this project into production in the summer of 2012 we need your help.

Yes! Choose the T-shirt option and multiply the pledge amount by how many T-shirts you want then change the price accordingly on the "confirm order" page.

For now, no. Blu-ray discs will cost more to produce, and without being able to guarantee a certain amount of orders up front, this option would be too risky for our budget. However, we are considering this option when the entire web series is completed. Of course, we would offer deep discounts for the blu-ray edition to those who pledged and recieved the dvd.
