Mission Creek Oakland began four years ago as an extension of the legendary Mission Creek Festival in San Francisco. Both MCO and MCFSF are partnered with the Intersection for the Arts - the Bay Area's oldest arts organization.

Our vision is to bring the spirit of Mission Creek -- nurturing local art and emerging artists and fostering community -- to the sunnier side of the Bay. We strive to represent the diversity of Oakland through as many art forms and musical genres as possible! This year we are proudly co-produced by the East Bay Express!

MCO is the product of volunteer labor: musicians, artists, producers and promoters whose reward is people coming together to witness awesome art and music, and having a good time. Continuing in the footsteps of last year's epic month long festival, we want to put MCO on the map as a unique and independent voice, amidst the sea of corporate funded festivals across the bay.

Please help us provide a month of creativity and fun in Oakland, by donating to cover its costs: renting space and equipment, covering guarantees, and documenting shows.
